Discord, owner of the famous talks application, has announced plans to open a gaming store today. The company has also announced an official partnership with THQ and Deep Silver publishers.
The store will offer a number of different ways to sell games, including the subscription feature called Discord Nitro. This service will give you access to a gaming library at no additional cost or charge, including Saints Row: The Third Games, Darksiders: Warmestered Edition, Super Meat Boy and Metro: Last Light Redux. As for the price, the service will cost you $ 4.99 per month only, or $ 49.99 per year.
In addition, confirm that the store will enable you to buy games normally. The company said in its press release that the store would be interested in providing the games “you will like and recommend”, which is probably an indication that the store will not offer any game produced regardless of its quality through the store – unlike Steam – for example – which provides all games.
As a kind of generosity, the team unveiled the “First On Discord” feature, in which it promised to help independent games and bring them to life – stressing that the games would be available exclusively “temporarily through the store.”
